Description
Dentures can replace missing teeth and complete your smile. At Verde Pointe Dental Associates, our dentists prefer to attach dentures to dental implants. We offer the innovative Teeth in a Day method, which allows patients to receive implants and an implant-supported denture in the same appointment.

Essentially, dentures are a way to replace missing teeth. Dentures, in the traditional term, means a full arch prosthetic that replaces all of the teeth on that arch. A partial denture is also a denture which replaces a couple of missing teeth. The key to dentures is the concept of replacing all of the teeth on an arch or replacing missing teeth with prosthetic teeth.
Implant dentures are the ability to hold your dentures in with implants. Either have dentures that you can remove at night or dentures that are permanently attached to your bone, to your jaw to replace your missing teeth with something that functions and feels like natural teeth. Implants are the best option to help dentures become something that's kind of a cumbersome prosthetic to something that feels and functions like real teeth.
The biggest concern for patients is cleaning their denture and taking their denture out. Type of dentures a patient gets can determine how long they are going to last. Implant dentures can be made out of a material called zirconia and can last a patient a lifetime. Teeth in a Day is essentially the process of placing implants, and then hooking a denture up to those implants at the same time.
If the patient is a candidate for that procedure, then we're able to take essentially a gummy smile, or a patient who doesn't have any teeth, or only has a couple of teeth left, and let them leave with a whole arch of brand new teeth in the same day. In my opinion, Teeth in a Day is, by far, a better experience for the patient, and for the rest of their lives than just traditional dentures.
